Characterful Grade II listed weather-boarded property with attractive period features, enjoying a central location in the seaside town of Whitstable in East Kent.

This property enjoys a fantastic location overlooking the seafront in the popular seaside town of Whitstable. A favourite with holidaymakers to the area, the town has a unique character and is populated by independent shops, well-regarded restaurants, and gastropubs. Seafood is the speciality here, and the town is particularly renowned for its oysters, although there are plenty of places to enjoy a simple fish and chip supper as well. A few minutes’ walk around the shingle beach, past the old fishermen’s sheds, is the village of Tankerton, with its sloping beach and prettily painted beach huts, which is a popular spot for families.

This property makes a fantastic place to stay in the heart of Whitstable and on arrival, guests will see just how special it is, with its weather-boarded exterior and attractive period features. The heart of the property is the spacious kitchen which provides a great communal space for friends and family to gather, eat, and simply enjoy one another’s company. The beamed ceiling, wooden floors, and warming AGA create a wonderfully cosy atmosphere in this room, which is equipped to a high standard with an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, breadmaker, washing machine, and tumble dryer, as well as a DAB radio and iPod dock. At one end of this room is a large dining table which comfortable seats six diners, whilst there is also a second dining area in the property’s conservatory which leads out onto the decked terrace. There is also a small lounge on the ground floor, which makes a great place to escape to with a good book or the Sunday papers. A shower room can also be found on the ground floor, offering a shower and WC. The main lounge, with its uninterrupted sea views, a feature fireplace, and TV can be found upstairs on the first floor, as can two bedrooms. The first of these is a pleasant double room, whilst the second bedroom is a bunk bedroom, both of which offer plenty of space for storing clothes. Stairs lead to the second floor, where the converted sail loft can act as another lounge area, or an additional bedroom for two guests, thanks to the double sofa-bed. Interestingly, there is also a Yahama keyboard in this room which may appeal to guests with musical skills. The main bathroom, meanwhile, is a sanctuary-like space with a large spa bath featuring underwater lighting, and a WC.

Outside, there is a decked terrace just outside the property which offers unrivalled sea views. Parking is available in local public car parks.
