A short walk from the beach, this property is a cosy and charming hideout that boasts scenic views. Despite its snug look, it is amazingly spacious and can comfortably fit a family of four.
This property was originally a pub known as ‘The Badger’ in the 19th-century and retains many of the original fireplaces and wooden beams. It is within close proximity to a number of shops and restaurants and, is a short drive away from the historical and natural treasures that Northumberland holds. Take day trips to the historical Bamburgh Castle or Alnwick Castle. The latter doubled for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter movies. Why not embark on a boat trip to the Farne islands are soak up the beautiful coastal views of Holy Island, Beadnell, or Craster?
The accommodation offers a spacious and comfortable lounge area, with an open fire to stave off the chill during colder days. The lounge also contains a TV/DVD, films, books and a variety of games to keep the whole group occupied. The kitchen, meanwhile, is great for budding chefs, fully-equipped with oven and hob, fridge and microwave. There is also a utility room with a washing machine. Moving through to the dining room, there is a table with ample seating for four guests, and beautiful decor that evokes the accommodation’s former life as a pub. On the first floor, there are two spacious bedrooms one double and one twin and an attractive bathroom with shower over bath and WC. Both rooms boast lovely feature fireplaces.
Outside, guests are offered allocated off-road parking space for one car. The cottage does not feature a garden or outside space. However, the view outside the property is also particularly scenic, with the opportunity to look out on to the sea at the boats, gulls and beach-goers.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
