For outdoor enthusiasts explore the South West Coast Path, Cardinham Woods with its waymarked trails and paths which weave through 650 acres of woodland or Siblyback Lake Country Park offers a variety of water sports including sailing, windsurfing, canoeing and wakeboarding. For day trips visit Daphne du Mauriers Smugglers Museum, Charlestown Shipwreck Centre with artefacts from over 50 different shipwrecks, National Trust Lanhydrock House and gardens with woodland and riverside paths to explore and Pencarrow House and gardens surrounded by lake and picturesque woodlands.

Heading outside, accessed from the kitchen and also accessed via steps and slopes is the patio garden. There is no parking at the property, however parking is available in nearby car parks (charges apply).
