This property enjoys a central location in the village of Weare Giffard, right under the shadow of the handsome village church. There is a well-regarded pub in the village, which specialises in offering locally produced cider. The village is situated right on the famous Tarka Trail, a 32-mile walking and cycling route, which runs from north to south through some of Devon’s most scenic countryside. Other popular local attractions include the fascinating visitor centre at Dartington Crystal factory, the beautiful gardens at RHS Rosemoor, and the traditional former-fishing town of Bideford.
This property occupies the first-floor of a converted hayloft and offers comfortable accommodation for two. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a welcoming and homely space, where guests can open the doors to the Juliet balcony and enjoy the views across the neighbouring countryside from the comfortable sofa seating. The property is also well-equipped to ensure guests have a relaxing stay, with a TV/DVD, and CD with iPod dock. The dining table seats two and is located next to the kitchen area, where there is an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. A utility room on the ground-floor houses the washer/dryer. The property’s bedroom is a king-size room which can be made up as a twin on request, thanks to the zip-and-link beds. There is another TV in the bedroom, perfect for enjoying lazy mornings. One child can be accommodated on a temporary single fold away bed by arrangement with the owner. The bathroom is contemporarily styled and fully-tiled with a shower-over-bath and WC.
Outside, there is an enclosed patio garden to the front of the property, which has seating and a BBQ for guests’ use. The garage which occupies the ground floor of the property, can be used to store bicycles, water sports equipment, etc. There is ample off-road parking.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
