Attractive barn conversion cottage, contemporarily styled and yet retaining some lovely period features, located on the edge of Hawkshead village.
Hawkshead is a popular Lakeland village, with celebrated connections to Beatrix Potter and William Wordsworth. The village pubs both make great spots to enjoy a long lunch, or a cosy pint, while those who are looking to find out more about the heritage of the area will enjoy visiting the village’s National Trust properties. Of course, the real draw of the region is the stunning landscape, and Lake Windermere is just two miles from the cottage.
To enter this property, guests first cross the low-wall via several steps which act as a stile, giving access to the front courtyard. Once inside, the hallway brings guests to the welcoming lounge, with its cosy wood burner, soft sofas, TV and DVD player. The property’s kitchen/diner has underfloor heating, perfect first thing in the morning, and a dining table seating six. It is well-equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, whilst the washing machine is kept in a separate nearby cupboard. A door from the kitchen gives access to the patio garden.
