Pretty fisherman’s cottage offering thoughtfully updated accommodation for four guests, situated in the North Norfolk seaside town of Wells-next-the-Sea, just a short walk from the town quay.
This cottage is located in the North Norfolk town of Wells-next-the-Sea, a pretty seaside town with its traditional fishing quay, the range of shops, and a wide choice of places to eat. The town’s sandy beach is edged by colourful beach huts and is part of the Holkham Estate, backed by pine woodland and dunes. In fact, at low tide it is possible to walk around to the huge beach at Holkham Bay which featured in the Ben Affleck film ‘Shakespeare in Love’. The quay which is still home to a working fishing fleet is a great place to try your luck at crabbing, or to take a boat trip around the harbour or alternatively around the salt marshes, a wonderfully peaceful journey which is a real treat for those with an interest in wildlife.
The front door of this pretty cottage opens directly into the lounge, a cosy space with comfortable seating, a TV/DVD in the lounge, and a fireplace with a wood burner-effect electric fire. From here a step leads through to the kitchen/diner which has a dining table seating four and a good range of equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine. Moving back through to the lounge, guests will find a staircase which leads to the bedrooms on the first floor of the cottage. The first of these is a double room with a 4’6” bed and a built-in wardrobe, whilst the second bedroom is a cosy twin room. The bathroom is also situated on the first floor and offers a shower-over-bath and WC.
From the cottage’s kitchen, a stable door leads out to a small enclosed courtyard garden at the rear of the property which is furnished with a table, chairs, a parasol, makes a delightful space for enjoying alfresco dining. There is off-road parking available for one car to the front of the property.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
