A majestically positioned house, perfect for couples or friends, with panoramic views towards Holy Isle and ideally positioned to explore the picturesque Isle of Arran.

A popular holiday resort since the 19th century, Whiting Bay is a coastal village in the southern part of the island within easy reach of the scenic countryside and local attractions. Stroll from the front door down the hill to the beach and sea to explore the rockpools at low tide. Take the ferry from Lamlash to Holy Isle to walk up to Mullach Mor or to discover the sacred well and hermit's cave and stroll around the nature reserve looking over the Firth of Clyde. Take a tour of the Isle of Arran Brewery in Brodick and sample some of their craft beers in the visitor centre or visit one of the two distilleries on the island for a wee dram. There are plenty of good walks direct from the front door as well as those further afield. For adventure on the water companies such as Otter’s Tail, based locally, provide sea kayaking, gorge and hill walking experiences on and around Arran, where you might spot seals, otters, dolphins and porpoise.

Reached via a shared approach, pull into your coastal cottage's private driveway and take a moment to appreciate the glorious sea views stretching before you. Your holiday home has a light and airy feel with spacious rooms decorated in neutral tones, many with uninterrupted sea views. With large picture windows overlooking the bay below, sink into one of the comfortable sitting room sofas and while away the hours watching the ever-changing view, or use the spotting scope to watch the boats and wildlife out at sea. On cooler evenings, light the wood burner and snuggle up with a glass of wine or a mug of hot chocolate. The warm and welcoming kitchen is a lovely space to rustle up a meal of produce purchased in the village delicatessen. It is very well equipped and has a gas hob and electric oven and dishwasher for a real home-from-home stay. There is also a utility room with a freezer and washing machine, and off that a convenient WC downstairs. Next to the kitchen is the sunroom to dine in a room with a view. In this spacious area with cosy seating, the dining table is positioned to maximise the amazing views, so you can take your time over a leisurely meal. In the evening explore the dark skies with the telescope for stargazing. Upstairs you will find the two well-appointed bedrooms. The master king-size bedroom suite has a stylish four-poster bed. A seating area with door leading onto the Juliet balcony enjoys wonderful views across the garden and sea beyond, making this a lovely spot to sit and watch the sunrise with a morning coffee. Indulge in a long soak in your en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. The pretty king-size bedroom is light and airy with stripped floorboards and a stylish en-suite shower room with WC.

Outside, enjoy breakfast or an early evening drink alfresco in your private garden.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
