For day trips take the regular passenger ferry across to Fowey offering independent shops, unusual gifts and galleries. If you’re a foodie then Fowey is home to many bistros, cafes and restaurants, where you’ll find menus offering the best in local produce. For days outdoors, visit Cardinham Woods, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, St Nectans Glen, explore the South West Coast Path, or spend a day on the water at Siblyback Lake Country Park. For history visit Pencarrow House and Gardens, Lanhydrock House, the Museum of Witchcraft, Charlestown Shipwreck Centre or Daphne du Mauriers Smugglers Museum.
Enter the property and step into the lounge/kitchen/diner, with picture window overlooking the river. After a day of exploring the area relax on the sofas, enjoy the views or light the wood burner and watch a film on the TV/DVD, doors lead out onto the balcony making the most of the view. Gather around the table, enjoy a meal together and plan your holiday activities. Head through to the kitchen, well-equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, smeg fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and Nespresso machine. Heading up to the first floor, you will find two bedrooms there is a king-size with en-suite bathroom with hand-held shower and WC, and a twin. Both have uninterrupted river views, fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping on the beach below. Also on this level is a family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC.
Heading outside, from the lounge you access the balcony with table and chairs, enjoy your morning coffee or a meal outdoors while taking in the lovely river views. Steep stairs lead directly from here down onto the beach, the property also has the added benefit of being located just a few steps the from the quay. Below the property is a boat house with tumble dryer and storage for canoes, sail boards or a small dingy which can be launched directly from the beach. There is also a frape, suitable for boats up to 12 feet in length. Parking is available at nearby car parks (charges apply).
