Description

Located near the pretty Roman Legionary Fortress of Caerleon, with strong connection to the site of King Arthur’s Camelot, this charming stone-built former mill nestles in a tranquil valley near the River Usk surrounded by a working sheep farm.

A short drive away is the local town of Caerleon which has a selection of shops, cafés and restaurants. Ideally located to explore the stunning Usk and Wye Valley. Excellent road links mean you are well placed to explore Cardiff (23 miles), the Forest of Dean, and beautiful Brecon Beacons. Why not explore local history at Caerleon Roman Museum or further afield visit St Fagan’s National History Museum of Wales or The Big Pit.

The characterful accommodation is arranged over three floors and accessed via 7 external steps. As you enter the country property the first room you will reach is the spacious lounge/diner, this is the real heart of the home and provides a lovely social space for all guests to enjoy with beautiful country views and high ceilings, this room is packed with lots of character. To the rear of the lounge/diner you will find a ladder style staircase leading to the mezzanine level which is home to a small twin room, which looks out over the lounge/diner. As you continue your journey through the lounge you will reach the galley style kitchen and the first of the double bedrooms, along with the family bathroom with shower over bath and WC. A further door leads outside to the private balcony area where there is room to set outside to enjoy your morning coffee and listen to the bird song. Finally the last room to reach is just off the galley style kitchen, accessed via the steep spiral staircase leading to the lower level family bedroom.

Heading outside you have a garden area with seating along with 25 acres to explore.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
