Situated in the village of Burwash Weald, a hamlet of Burwash in East Sussex, this property benefits from access to village amenities including a choice of country pubs, and small village shops. The imposing National Trust property of Batemans, home to Rudyard Kipling who wrote The Jungle Book is within a 2 mile drive and is a lovely place to spend a day, enjoying the history and stunning gardens. An eight mile drive to the south will bring you to the historic town of Battle, with the imposing Battle Abbey and a wide choice of shops and places to eat. This is a great location for walking.
A garden path leads up to this pretty cottage. On entering, you will arrive in the cosy lounge with open fire, large comfy sofa, folding dining table and chairs and a Smart TV with DVD player. The lounge leads into the quaint cottage kitchen with an oven and gas hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge and small deep freeze. Just off the kitchen is a small porch area which leads to the garden and is an ideal place for storing muddy boots. Along the hall, there is a pretty and fresh double bedroom with wrought iron bedstead, and a smaller bedroom with a single bed. The bathroom has a roll-top bath with shower over, a heated towel rail and WC.
The garden is accessed from either the lounge or the kitchen, and is a traditional enclosed cottage garden with a patio table and chairs. There is parking for one car.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
