This historic cottage offers bright and spacious accommodation in a picturesque village location.
Located at the centre of the pretty village of Corfe Castle, this property is just a short stroll from a local bakery, sweet shop, pubs and tearooms. The famous Corfe Castle (of which the village is named after), attacked by Oliver Cromwell, stands majestically on a small hill within a short walk of the cottage. When you’ve finished exploring the village, hop onto the steam train to Swanage to discover its beach and lively entertainment. Also, within easy reach are the wonderful beaches of Studland Bay and the pretty coastal villages of Kimmeridge and Lulworth.
Stepping down into this property which is bursting with character, with exposed Purbeck stone walls, many beams and a wonderful inglenook fireplace. The cottage has been sympathetically extended to offer a light and airy kitchen with electric oven and gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge/freezer. This is open-plan to a lovely dining area with a large table, skylights and a French door opening onto the garden. In the older part of the house, the lounge is a charming room with a wonderful inglenook fireplace, exposed beams, comfortable sofas, a small dining table and a TV/DVD player for enjoying cosy evenings in. On the ground floor there is also a modern bathroom with overhead shower and floorboards. Upstairs are two well-presented bedrooms, one spacious king-size with beams and views of the Purbeck Hills and one bunk bedroom for children.
Outside there is a beautifully maintained cottage garden to the rear of the house. This enclosed sun trap is furnished with garden furniture for enjoying al fresco meals in the sunshine. A special permit is available for free parking in the village car park nearby.
