This property enjoys a rural farmland location, and yet is just a short drive from the town Bideford, where visitors will find an interesting array of independent shops, pubs, and restaurants, amongst the town’s attractive cobbled streets. The working harbour here offers a choice of boat trips, including the wonderful trip out to the wild island of Lundy in the Bristol Channel, with its seal colony and puffins. Also in the local area, the expansive sandy beach at Westward Ho! is popular with families and surfers alike, while the beautifully preserved village of Clovelly offers an interesting glimpse at Devonshire life in times gone by. Other nearby attractions include, Tamar Lakes, the Big Sheep and The Milky Way.
This attractive property is one of three located on this working farm, and offers comfortable accommodation for eight guests. On the ground floor, guests will find the open-plan lounge/diner, a spacious, relaxing room with wooden floors, a cosy woodburner, dining table, comfortable sofa seating, Freeview TV/DVD and a video player. Two steps down from this room lead to the kitchen, where there is breakfast table, and all the equipment guests will need to make themselves at home, including an oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. One of the property’s four bedrooms is located on the ground floor, a double room with an en-suite shower and WC. The three further bedrooms are located upstairs, the first of which is a spacious king-size room. There are then two pretty, twin rooms, and a bathroom with shower over bath and WC.
Outside, the property has its own garden area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. The shared hot tub occupies its own specially converted barn, making it a wonderful place to relax in all weathers. Guests are also free to enjoy the farmland surroundings and to collect eggs from the resident hens, and pay a visit to the ducks, pigs, and chickens. Children are able to have fun on the play equipment, which includes swings and a climbing frame, perfect for burning off all that extra energy! There is also a detached family room located in the grounds, which if available to guests who book more than one property. This space provides a large seating area, a TV, woodburner, underfloor heating throughout and a small kitchen area. There is ample parking provided, as well as use of a secure garage, ideal for storing bikes, surfboards, etc.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
