Based in a picturesque Dorset village, this stylish and light-filled property provides comfortable and attractive accommodation for a family looking to explore the beautiful Bridport area of Dorset.

The picturesque village of Litton Cheney is situated in an area of natural springs, with a brook winding its way through the village. Nearby places of interest include the Winterbourne Poor Lot Barrows (3 miles), Littlebredy Walled Gardens (3.5 miles), the Nine Stones (4.5 miles), the Kingston Russell Stone Circle (4 miles) and Maiden Castle (11.5 miles). The stunning Dorset coast is close by, with beautiful beaches including West Bay (8 miles), Hive Beach (4.5 miles) and Chesil Beach (10 miles). The popular towns of Bridport (6.5 miles) and Weymouth (13 miles) have plenty of places to eat and drink, or you could visit the village of Abbotsbury, home to a swannery, subtropical gardens and a ruined abbey (5 miles).

On entering this attractive and spacious property you will find two bright and comfortable lounges. The smaller snug features plenty of seating including window seats, an oak floor and wood burner set in a stone fireplace. The main lounge also features a wood burner as well as a TV/DVD, making this an ideal space to relax in at the end of the day. Three steps lead up to the stylishly designed kitchen/diner which has a charming dining area and is equipped with a range oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, Amazon Echo and a centrally placed breakfast bar. The dryer is housed in the nearby utility room. Exploring the ground floor further you will find the master bedroom which features a 6’ double bed which can be made up as a twin room on prior request. This lovely room also features wooden window shutters, an oak floor, French doors leading out onto the patio and a dressing room with an en-suite shower room with WC. There is also a shower room with WC on the ground floor, and a hall where you can leave coats and boots. Going upstairs you will find three cosy bedrooms, all with wooden shutters. There are two double rooms – one with a 6’ bed, and one with a 5’ bed which can be made up as a twin room on request. There is also a bunk bedroom which is perfect for children. A step leads up to the bathroom which is complete with a shower over the bath, his and hers basins and a WC.

To the front of the property are two gravelled seating areas surrounded by flower beds and offering an ideal spot for enjoying a meal or an evening drink. The large side garden is screened from the lane by hedging and has a spacious lawn with flower beds and trees. Parking is available for one car in the enclosed area at the rear of the cottage and sits beside the village stream. Additional parking can be found along the village lane.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
