Situated in the beautiful Somerset countryside with panoramic views of the Mendip Hills and Glastonbury Tor. This well-appointed lodge is set down a quiet lane within the grounds of the owner’s home and makes a perfect retreat.
Situated in the heart of Somerset and 3 miles from Glastonbury with its Tor and Abbey Ruins, you are also within walking distance of the famous festival site and a good village pub, a mile away. Close by are the historical Cathedral cities of Wells and Bath. Wells and Glastonbury both have a lovely cafe culture and plenty of amenities, including weekly street markets, whilst Street has a popular shopping outlet village. Walking and cycling routes are on the doorstep, or for nature lovers visit the RSPB Nature Reserve on the Somerset Levels. Visit the sandy and dramatic beaches of Burnham-on-Sea, or enjoy a day out slightly further afield at the seaside towns of Lyme Regis and West Bay. There are is also a good selection of National Trust properties.
Step into this single-storey open-plan retreat and settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the TV/DVD. The little kitchen is cleverly fitted at one end of the living space with an electric oven and a two ring hob, fridge and microwave. Perfect for cooking a lazy breakfast in bed, or a light supper. From here enter the pretty double bedroom. Sleep tight with your faces glowing from a day in the salty sea air, or a brisk countryside walk. The shower room has a wet room shower and a WC.
Venture outside onto the decking with your morning coffee and relax and soak up the views over the cottage garden and the Mendips. It is also a perfect place to enjoy a BBQ, or cuddle up under a blanket whilst watching the sun go down. At the bottom of the garden enjoy views of the famous Glastonbury Tor. The parking area is directly behind the lodge.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
