Sitting at the eastern foot of the North York Moors, the village of Hutton Buscel offers scenic walks and rolling countryside right on your doorstep, with the added benefit of a local shop, tearooms and a welcoming pub within walking distance. If you prefer to be by the coast, venture just 7 miles east to visit the coastal town of Scarborough and make your way along the picturesque coastline if you wish. Scarborough is home to the Sea Life Sanctuary, an ancient castle and Alpamare water park so when it comes to family fun, you won't be short of choices. If you prefer a slower paced day out, browse the range of independent shops, lovely eateries and traditional pubs on offer.
With its chocolate box exterior, magical gardens and equally charming interior, this cottage is a truly enjoyable retreat in Yorkshire. Make your way through the porch and step into the brightly coloured kitchen, boasting a rustic dining table at its heart. The kitchen/diner is home to all the amenities you'll need to enjoy homecooked family meals during your stay. Following a sumptuous meal, kick back and relax in the cosy lounge, home to a wood burner and character artwork. Upstairs are three restful bedrooms, take your pick from a sweet twin, a king-size and a double. The family bathroom with a bath for those long soaks following a day of exploring the delights of Yorkshire, sits between all three bedrooms. There's a second shower located in the ground floor utility room.
There's much to be appreciated outside too, with wonderful gardens, thought-out seating areas and a pleasant patio to for complete relaxation. During the summer months, make the most of your surroundings and throw down a picnic blanket, fire up the BBQ and enjoy a spot of al fresco dining complete with picture-perfect views. This property also offers off-road parking.
