Attractive seaside cottage offering beautifully updated accommodation for five guests, offering direct access to the seafront promenade in the delightful resort town of Cromer.
Cromer is one of Norfolk’s best-loved holiday resorts, with its wide sandy beach offering visitors plenty of space to play, relax, swim, and try out a range of watersports. For those who simply want to spend their days at the seaside, this property is in the ideal position for relaxing days spent pottering on the beach, retiring to one of the many restaurants and cafes for lunch and perhaps stopping to eat fresh seafood on the way back to the cottage in the late afternoon. The town’s pier is also popular with visitors as it is one of the few which still offers traditional end-of-pier entertainment. Other attractions in and around the town include the North Norfolk Railway, Amazona Zoo, and the 17th-century country house of Felbrigg Hall.
This traditional seaside property has been lovingly finished with some pretty touches which give it an attractive seaside feel, as is fitting a cottage which lies so close to the seafront. The lounge, for example, has several well-chosen pieces of decorative art which reminds guests exactly where they are staying and is furnished with a large corner sofa, a cosy armchair, and a traditional dresser next to which there is a TV/DVD in the lounge with Sky channels. The kitchen/diner, meanwhile, has been finished in a unique style which gives the room a real sense of character, with its circular feature window, a driftwood mirror, and bright azure walls. The dining table can seat six guests, whilst there is also a good range of equipment including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and washing machine. Stairs from the flagstoned hallway lead up to the first floor of the cottage where the bannister on the galleried landing is charmingly made of pieces of driftwood. The owners’ sense of style can also be found in the three bedrooms, the first of which is a pretty double room with painted floorboards and a feature fireplace. The second bedroom is a restful twin, whilst the third is a peaceful single room. The bathroom can also be found on the first floor and has been decorated in a maritime theme and offers a roll-top bath and bespoke vanity unit. There is a separate WC just across the landing from the bathroom.
The property has a private, enclosed patio garden with a table and chairs, which gives guests a great spot to sit back and unwind with alfresco drinks or meals. There is off-road parking for one car just outside the property and direct access to the town’s promenade.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
