Peacefully nestled within the fringes of an established meadow enjoying shade from the mature trees, the hand crafted railway carriage is just perfect for couples looking to escape the real world.
This peaceful location will be hard to leave, however before the time comes you will have a wealth of walking to enjoy with simple access into the Black Mountains and slightly further afield the Brecon Beacons National Park. Enjoy the best of both Monmouthshire and Herefordshire’s market towns with regular farmers markets and literature and art festivals. Across the border, you will find an area steeped in history with some of Europe’s finest surviving castles and countryside, Brecon Castle overlooking the River Usk, Abergavenny Castle set against the spectacular hills and Crickhowell Castle, a prominent feature within a small market town. At the end of a busy day, return to the blissful peace of your retreat.
Take a stroll across the meadow and arrive at the wooden bridge where you will capture your first glimpse of this hand-crafted railway carriage. The covered terrace with double doors open into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, cosy chairs sit well in front of the wood burner effect electric fire, with a beautifully finished kitchen set against the rear of the carriage, equipped with electric hob, fridge with ice compartment, and for dining you can make the most of the carriage with the small pull out table and chairs. When your day is done climb into the built in double bed with TV. There is also a shower room with WC within the carriage.
Wake up to the sound of bird song and the babbling brook whilst you take breakfast on your private terrace over-looking the water’s edge, the terrace is a perfect sun trap and enjoys a cover for chiller autumn evenings along with a warming fire pit. There is parking for two cars available.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
