As you would expect from the region, there are many miles of walks to be enjoyed in the area, catering to all fitness levels, including scenic lakeside strolls and challenging hikes and climbs. The most famous of the lakes, Windermere, is situated just five miles from the property, and is a great place to enjoy browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before spending a day on the water. Around the lake there are several places to hire boats and other water craft, or to hop on board one of the leisure cruises which run up and down the water at a relaxing pace, allowing visitors to fully appreciate the beautiful surroundings.
The front door of this single storey property leads into a light and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with state-of-the-art kitchen in soft pastel colours. The lounge area has comfy luxurious sofas, wood burner and picture windows. The dining area has seating for 2 either at the breakfast bar or at the table, vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and large dual aspect windows. The bright kitchen area offers everything that guests will need to prepare their favourite meals, including a ceramic hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, and washer/dryer. The cottage has its own music control pads and Bluetooth technology, with integral sound systems and widescreen TV. Bi-folding doors lead onto a private patio. The romantic master bedroom has double bed and sumptuous free-standing bath, and en-suite with monsoon shower and WC.
Outside the property through bi-folding doors is a private patio with garden furniture. There is also an outside shared garden, with three acres of gardens, including an unfenced large pond, which is home to wild ducks, frogs and newts, as well as water-lilies and gunnera.
Dogs fees are charged per dog at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter.
