The location of this cottage is simply magical – sat on the edge of Goathland, it is a village you may well recognise as the setting for the TV series Heartbeat, with a train station that doubles as ‘Hogsmeade station' in the Harry Potter films and from which you can hop aboard a steam train and enjoy a traditional ride through breathtaking scenery. If you're a lover of the outdoors you will adore the miles of walking trails that cross over in every direction, right from the doorstep; pick one and see whether you can find one of the several waterfalls in the area including Mallyan Spout, Falling Foss and Thomason Foss.
Handsome grey wood cladding invites you into the spacious open-plan living area, the style of which would not look out of place in a glossy magazine or boutique hotel. There is a large, comfortable sofa and soft snuggly rugs to sink your toes into as you sit and watch the flames flicker on the living flame fire.
