A short drive from Bangor-on-Dee with its local shops and eateries. The vibrant towns of Wrexham and Llangollen are also close by, together with the market town of Oswestry and the historic City of Chester. Great days out can be spent at the Bangor-on-Dee and Chester racecourses, ride on the horse drawn canal boat or steam trains in Llangollen, and at National Trust’s Chirk Castle or Erddig. Visit Pontcyllte Aqueduct, Plassey, Chester Zoo, Beeston Castle and Woodland Park, to name but a few attractions nearby. Walk and cycle in the beautiful surrounding countryside and valleys, go fishing, white water rafting or golfing. It’s all on offer at this all year-round destination. The house is attached to the owner’s wing though your privacy is assured.
This 16th century Tudor Inn is steeped in history and full of period charm with exposed beams, feature fireplace, unique doors, quirky staircase and original floorboards. Walk into the kitchen and around to the hall with space for your coats and boots. The kitchen is well-equipped with a range style electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, drinks fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and all the thoughtful little extras, creating a lovely space to rustle up a meal. Walk through to the lovely dining room with the feature fireplace housing the wood burner, perfect to enjoy a meal together and catch up on your news. After dinner relax in the lounge or the snug, both rooms have comfortable sofas and a TV, perfect to plan your holiday activities, read a good book or watch a film. The two lobbies offer a small pool table and table football for a friendly game at the end of a full day out. Take a leisurely shower in the stylish shower room with shower and WC or unwind in the freestanding bath in the contemporary bathroom with WC. Head up the quirky wooden staircase to the first floor, you will find the spacious twin bedroom and the double with a TV for your comfort. At the other end of the house, you can choose from the other spacious double with a TV or a further lovely twin bedroom.
Outside you have lots of options to enjoy the great outdoors. Relax in the hot tub with views down the garden, fish in the wildlife pond, enjoy al fresco dining, maybe a BBQ, enjoy a picnic by the pond or gather round the fire pit after a full day out. There is also an enclosed grassed area to exercise your four-legged friends. There is parking for four cars at the property.
