This highland cottage is the perfect place for your next family getaway. Head out of your door straight into the wilds of the Cairngorms National Park to walk, roam, cycle, and play the day away.
The cottage is set at the foot of the Cromdale Hills, a rugged area with some wonderful walks to explore. Pass by castle ruins and other mysteries along your way, or follow the River Spey for a misty trail into the Cairngorms National Park. 4 miles to the south, you'll discover the delights of Granton-on-Spey, a historic town with pubs and shops to entertain you, and of course plenty of the golfing and whisky famous to the area.
Enter the property through the sweet stone facade to find the bright living space, a delightful sitting room, with snug sofas beside a traditional stone fireplace with open fire. There's even a comfortable double sofa bed, so you can turn this space into a third bedroom if you need. The conservatory is the perfect escape for grabbing the last of the light as it dips below the hills, or take a place around the lovely family table in the dining room, which adjoins the kitchen. Upstairs, your two bedrooms — a double and a twin — are delightfully decorated and offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
The space outside is just as pretty. Enjoy the lush grass the wraps around the cottage, perfect for kids and dogs to stretch their legs in, or settle down to an al fresco dinner in the highland air — there's a sweet patio area with BBQ on the patio.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
Please note there is a refundable £150 security deposit for this property payable closer to the start of your holiday.
