Perched above Robin Hood's Bay in the North York Moors National Park, there is plenty to explore near and far. Venture down into the picture-postcard village and wander along the front. The revitalising sea air and sounds of lapping waves are a pleasant accompaniment to strolls along the beach, and later a number of shops and cafes provide treats for the eye and tum. 4.5 miles, Falling Foss waterfall and tea gardens are definitely worth a visit, as is Whitby, only 5 miles away.
Heading inside, the holiday vibe sets in straight away. Leave your worries at the door and let your feet pad across oak floors, moving to the lounge. A spacious room with two comfortable sofas and a wood burner effect gas fire, a warm, inviting ambience is immediately palpable. Curl up with your favourite page-turner or switch on the TV. Offering a TV/DVD with Netflix, as well as traditional board games, you can find something the whole family will enjoy. Kitted out with everything you could need to stir up your culinary piece de resistance, the kitchen is an attractive room complete with small dining table. Including an oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and all sorts of pots, pans and utensils, you can create brilliant breakfasts, light lunches and hearty dinners to keep the whole troop going. For extra convenience, there is also a utility/boot room with a washing machine, dryer and additional fridge. To lend more of a sense of occasion to meals, there is also a dining room in addition to the kitchen table. Here, sunlight floods the room in the day and views of the village can be enjoyed. When tiredness kicks in, three bedrooms can be found upstairs. The master bedroom has a cast-iron double bed and an en-suite bathroom with huge free-standing bath – a tempting proposition after a long day sightseeing. The second bedroom is a pretty twin room great for children and the third bedroom (located on the top floor) has a double bed and sofa. A family bathroom is located on the first floor and is home to a large walk-in shower and WC. On street parking is available close to the cottage.
