Set within an established meadow enjoying stunning views across the Ridgeway, this original shepherd’s hut has been lovingly restored and is just perfect for couples looking to escape the real world.
Enjoying an enviable location within walking distance of the National Trail the Ridgeway. A well renowned trail with outstanding scenery throughout the area, this well waymarked trail is suitable for walkers, cyclists and horseback. An area steeped in history and heritage to include Liddington Castle one of the earliest hill forts in Britain, the World Heritage Site of Avebury, Silbury Hill and West Kennett Long Barrow. The National Trust village at Lacock along with some stunning historic houses and gardens including the famous Stourhead Gardens. Away from the countryside take some time to visit some of the Cotswold towns, Bath, Tetbury and Cirencester which are all within easy reach and offer a good selection of boutiques, cafes and restaurants.
Take a stroll across the meadow and enjoy the stunning views. This original shepherd’s hut has been part of the family for generations and offers a friendly welcome to all that come and stay. Perfect for a digital detox! Climb the wooden steps to step back in time, the painted wooden interior with colourful furnishings is just perfect, with cosy chairs and the wood burning stove will keep you warm on an autumn evening. There is a simple storage area for coats and boots, and a built in king size bed for a peaceful night’s sleep.
Outside the hut you will find a well-equipped kitchen area with electric two ring hob, a small fridge and BBQ , there is also a separate shower and WC. Wake up to the sound of bird song and take breakfast outside over-looking the countryside, or spend a lazy afternoon relaxing in the orchard and for star gazers why not light the fire pit. There is allocated parking for two cars.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
