This superb cottage is ideally located in the Northumberland National Park and provides an excellent base to explore the site of the Drake Stone, alleged to have special healing powers and views of the medieval ruins of Harbottle Castle. Enjoy a day trip to Alnwick Castle, no stranger to film crews, featuring in Harry Potter, Downton Abbey and Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Discover the perfect dark skies as part of the International Dark Sky Park, Europe’s largest area of protected night sky and officially the best place in England to view the heavens. Explore the unique countryside of Northumberland National Park including wild moorland, ancient woodlands and peat bogs.
Upon entering the beautiful hallway, guests will immediately notice the well-designed touches, which feature throughout the cottage. The lounge provides a comfortable place to relax and catch up with friends and family, with sofas arranged around the cosy wood burner and smart TV, including full sky package. The stylish country kitchen has a cosy wood burner and a dining area with seating for everyone, with duck-egg blue cupboards and slate worktop, it's equipped with electric oven and induction hob, microwave, washing/dryer, fridge/freezer and a Nespresso coffee machine, everything required for holiday dining and to help with the cleaning after, a dishwasher. There is also a handy ground floor bathroom with shower over bath. The cottage has three bedrooms, one king-size, one double and one twin. Completing the accommodation is the shower room with shower and WC, and a separate WC.
Outside there is a seating area to enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by. There is also roadside parking directly outside the property for two cars, on the quiet country lane, subject to availability.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
