Beautiful cottage offering stylish accommodation for six guests, finished to a high standard throughout to provide a chic holiday retreat less than one mile from the shores of Lake Windermere.
This property enjoys an idyllic location in the Lake District, less than one mile from the edge of Lake Windermere, the largest of the region’s lakes. There is plenty to see and do both on and around the edge of the lake, including the towns of Bowness and Ambleside, the country park at Fell Foot, numerous watersports, leisurely cruises, and of course scenic walks. There are also a number of interesting properties and heritage sites in the area, such as the lakeside Wray Castle, Beatrix Potter’s home Hill Top, and Dove Cottage, the former home of William Wordsworth. The area is also known for the range of outdoor pursuits on offer, and there are a number of adventure centres nearby which offer the chance to have a go at climbing, canyoning, and ghyll scrambling amongst other activities.
There is a step leading up to the entrance door of the property, upon entering guests will find themselves in a hallway from which a door leads into the impressive open-plan lounge/diner a stunning light-filled room with wooden floors, a contemporary-style wood burner, plump sofas, a Smart TV, and iPod dock. Returning to the lounge area, a set of double doors leads through to a cosy snug room which with its bay window and wood burner offers a quiet retreat from the rest of the house and is the ideal place to relax with a drink and a good book. Two of the property’s bedrooms are located on the ground floor, the first of which is a chic super-king-size room benefitting from an en-suite shower and WC. The second bedroom is a king-size room with a fantastic walk-in wardrobe and a dressing room, close to which is a shower room with shower and WC. Heading back to the main hallway, guests will pass a study area before taking the LED-lit stairs to the master bedroom suite on the first floor. This truly magnificent space adds a touch of glamour to the property. This elegant and contemporary space is a true sanctuary, not only offering a super-king-size bedroom and TV, but its own opulent lounge which was originally designed as an art studio, and a stunning en-suite bathroom with a deep tear-drop shaped freestanding bath, separate shower, and WC.
Patio doors from the lounge open onto the property’s garden where there is a sloping lawn, as well as a patio seating area with garden furniture and a BBQ. There is parking provided for three cars.
