Description

A perfect escape for anyone wanting to discover North Yorkshire, set in a quiet area of Knaresborough yet close to superb walks and nearby character towns, a perfect base for business or pleasure.

Knaresborough, with its dramatic position perched on top of the cliffs overlooking the River Nidd, and the majestic Victorian viaduct spanning the gorge, this location is simply charming. Walk along Waterside and hire a boat, or simply just watch the world go by in one of the cafes along the riverbank. England’s oldest attraction, Mother Shipton’s Cave, is also right by the side of the river. The 12th century castle ruins and museum are also worth a visit along with the stunning Bebra gardens with summer paddling pool. A short drive away is Harrogate with its Convention Centre and spa heritage, the Yorkshire Event Centre is also close by. You are also well located near Knaresborough’s train station with good rail links to London via York and Harrogate.

As you approach the property, via its own pathway to the front door, you will instantly feel welcome. As you enter, hang your coats up it’s time to relax as you head through to the cosy lounge, where you can enjoy an open fire on a chilly evening, here you can play games, watch a film on the TV/DVD or simply plan the next day’s activities. Head through to the dining room with large wooden table to easily seat six guests, ideal for getting your group together over dinner, or even a business meeting. Budding chefs will love the kitchen which is stylishly finished in ivory wood and accessorised with aquamarine appliances. The kitchen is well-equipped with electric oven and gas hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. A ground floor shower room with shower, heated towel rail and WC completes the ground floor. Heading up the stairs to the first floor at the end of the day there’s a single bedroom with rear views and a fully tiled bathroom with shower over bath, heated towel rail and WC. Up a further couple of steps there is a double bedroom and at the front of the house a generously sized light and bright master bedroom with a king-sized bed, wardrobes, feature fireplace and front garden views.

At the front of the house there is a pretty garden by the entrance path which is all on one level, you can also step outside from the kitchen where you will find a sitting area and planted border, making this the perfect spot for al fresco dining. There is roadside parking available on a private road behind the property, subject to availability, and further roadside parking nearby.
