A remarkable Victorian stone holiday home, with its pointed roof profile and overhanging eaves is likened to a fairy tale ‘Gingerbread House’, is ideally situated close by to the town of Lochgilphead. Explore the nearby Crinan Canal, the 200 year old waterway where you can either sail or walk and cycle alongside. After working up an appetite, you can taste the local seafood at one of the restaurants nearby. For the more adventurous, Knapdale Forest is just six miles away and is known for its panoramic views and wildlife as well plenty of trails to explore. There is plenty of history in this area and you can visit Kilmartin House Museum or search for scenery covered relics of prehistoric Scotland, such as stone circles, chambered cairns and sculptured stones. After enjoying all of the area’s offerings you can make your way back to the property and enjoy the views over the open countryside and Kilmartin Glen.
