This idyllic cottage, situated in such a wonderful location, close to a working farm and stunning scenery, traditional yet with a contemporary twist, everything you could want to unwind and relax.
The cottage forms part of three stone, former farm worker’s cottages in North Northumberland close to the border with Scotland, with magnificent uninterrupted views across farmland and the Northumberland National Park. Watch gliders soar over the Cheviots or why not give it a go at the gliding club nearby. Pub and Farm shop in nearby village of Milfield just 2 mile away or a short drive to the lovely market town of Wooler offers eateries to sample local produce. The Cheviot Hills offer outstanding walking, the vistas are breath-taking and provide a delightful ‘get away from it all’ activity. A great destination to enjoy cycling, gliding, golf, horse riding and walking. Holy Island and Bamburgh Castle are a 45-minute drive away and Alnwick Castle famous for the Harry Potter films and its spectacular gardens are also close by.
Enter the property into a bright entrance hall with colourful floor tiles, a beautiful pine door takes you through into the inviting lounge with its cosy wood burner, TV/DVD, and a sideboard with books and games for entertainment. Chill out on the sofa and comfy chairs after a busy day exploring, a further pine door takes you through to the well-designed kitchen/diner with a lovely solid wood dining table, ample storage cupboards, electric oven and hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave. To the rear is a lovely natural gardenscape with an enclosed patio with table and chairs, lockable storage for bicycles, a pizza oven and BBQ and a lawned and a wooded area to enjoy. It is a great spot for star gazing on a clear night.
