There are numerous country and forest trails to explore including the Pennine Way and Cheviot Hills, providing a haven for ramblers and wildlife alike. Nearby award winning Kielder Water & Forest Park offers water sports and some of the most challenging mountain bike trails in the UK. Visit the World Heritage site of Hadrian’s Wall, the largest Roman monument in Europe. The beautiful unspoilt Northumberland coastline with splendid sandy beaches to explore, including Bamburgh and Lindisfarne with their magnificent castles, are all within touring distance.
