The town of Sturminster Newton is just five miles north of the property, a pretty town which straddles the River Stour and was immortalised in Thomas Thomas Hardy’s poem On Sturminster Bridge. To the south of the property, the town of Blandford Forum is an attractive town, which makes a lovely place to spend an afternoon sampling the wares of one of the town’s many tearooms and browsing the shops. Seaside-lovers won’t be disappointed either, as Dorset is home to some of the country’s most beautiful beaches, including those at Chesil, Lulworth Cove, and Weymouth which are all within thirty miles of the property.
This single-storey property is a delightful place to enjoy a quiet holiday for two. The lounge area, part of the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a wonderful place to relax with its two comfortable armchairs, TV, and DVD. The kitchen area is home to the dining table, as well as an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and coffee machine. Guests who need to make use of laundry facilities can do so by request. Just off the lounge, there is a wonderfully sunny conservatory which enjoys stunning views over the surrounding countryside, and makes a delightful space to sit and relax with a good book and a cup of coffee. The property has one bedroom, a relaxing double which has a door opening out onto the garden, which floods the room with morning light. The bathroom, meanwhile, offers a shower-over-bath and WC.
Outside, there is a private patio with garden furniture and a BBQ which makes a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the tranquillity. In addition to this, guests are welcome to make use of the spacious lawn gardens and to wander the attractive orchard. There is parking provided for one car.
