From the doorstep a wonderful network of footpaths and bridleways running up into the Radnor Forest to the north and south to Ireland Moor. There are quiet lanes along which to cycle. The small hamlet of Walton is situated just one mile from the famous Offa's Dyke Pathway. The neighbouring village of Old Radnor offers a 15th century Welsh longhouse pub. Whilst just 3 miles away is the pleasant town of Kington, renowned as a centre for walking and is surrounded by the pretty rolling hills of The Marches, which offers a choice of good shops, pubs and restaurants. Explore the Mortimer Trail and the lovely walks to Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the beautiful music of both Elgar and Mike Oldfield.
