Charming 16th Century Farmhouse set in the heart of the Radnor Basin with wonderful networks of pathways and bridleways. Great base to visit several places of interest.  Six Bedrooms, vast outdoor space, pub and shop 2  miles.

This character Walton property has been carefully restored with locally sourced materials, offering vintage-styled character accommodation for family and friends in search of peace and tranquillity, set in a courtyard of 17th century buildings with traditional wildflower lawns, cottage gardens and meadows.

From the doorstep a wonderful network of footpaths and bridleways running up into the Radnor Forest to the north and south to Ireland Moor. There are quiet lanes along which to cycle. The small hamlet of Walton is situated just one mile from the famous Offa's Dyke Pathway. The neighbouring village of Old Radnor offers a 15th century Welsh longhouse pub. Whilst just 3 miles away is the pleasant town of Kington, renowned as a centre for walking and is surrounded by the pretty rolling hills of The Marches, which offers a choice of good shops, pubs and restaurants. Explore the Mortimer Trail and the lovely walks to Hergest Ridge, the inspiration for the beautiful music of both Elgar and Mike Oldfield. Discover Presteigne, which nestles at the heart of The Marches and has the award-winning Judges Lodgings. Also nearby Hay-on Wye with its festival and books. There is fishing which can be arranged with the owner on the nearby River Wye. Stabling is available for up to 2 horses on request. Games room: external room with table tennis and billiards.

The accommodation offers SIX bedrooms and THREE bathrooms: On the first floor, 1 king with large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower-over, WC and sofa. 2 king-size bedrooms, 1 with balcony, 1 with en-suite loo and 1 single.  Bathroom: with bath and WC. On the second floor, 1 twin with zip-and-link beds which can be made into a king-size on request and 1 room with 3 single beds. Bathroom: with shower over bath and WC. Separate WC on the ground floor. Lounge: with woodburner and TV. Dining room with seating for 14-16 people . Kitchen/diner: with electric AGA and induction hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and open fire. Utility room: with washing machine, tumble dryer and 2 fridge/freezers. Outside: to the rear a covered patio area with seating overlooking the hills, to the side an additional seating area with table and chairs overlooking the wildflower lawns. Further gardens across from the farmhouse to include a traditional cottage garden, a meadow with benches, open farmland and barns to explore. Amenities: ample parking. Bed linen (bed linen for cot not included), towels, electric, central heating and Wi-Fi included. 2 dogs welcome. Additional info: there are also 2 attached areas one of which sleeps up to 3, and 1 of which sleeps 2, available for larger parties, please enquire for rates. Location: pub and shop 2 miles. Arrival: 4pm.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
