A delightful period cottage which has been lovingly updated to sleep four guests, offering stylish light-filled accommodation in the North Norfolk village of North Creake.
This cottage is located in the village of North Creake, one of North Norfolk’s true hidden gems, which has become somewhat of a destination for local foodies, who flock to the well-stocked food hall and popular cafe based at Creake Abbey. This delightful spot specialises in fresh local produce and is great for stocking up on cooking supplies, as well as being a great place to go on the days that guests don’t fancy cooking. The estate around the ruined abbey is also home to a regular farmers’ market, as well as a chic lifestyle store and an art gallery. The area around the abbey is ideal for enjoying scenic walks, as is the secluded beach at Burnham Overy Staithe which is located just under six miles north of the village.
Stepping through the main entrance of this charming end-of-terrace property, guests will find room to leave their coats and boots in the welcoming hallway, off from which there is a spacious shower room offering a shower and WC. To the left-hand side of the hall, the lounge is a stylish room, finished in chic understated colours and attractively furnished with a sofa and two inviting armchairs, as well as offering a warming wood burner and a TV/DVD. Crossing the hallway from the lounge, a door leads through to the kitchen, and beyond to the fantastic conservatory: a wonderfully light-filled space which is used as both a dining room and a pleasant sitting area looking out over the garden. The kitchen itself is semi-open-plan to the conservatory and is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, and dishwasher. The washing machine, for those who need it, can be found housed separately in a hallway cupboard. Steep cottage-style stairs lead to two pretty bedrooms on the first floor of the cottage. The first of these is a restful king-size room with a wardrobe, chest of drawers and an en-suite shower room, whilst the other is a lovely light and airy room with twin beds and a wardrobe.
To the rear of the cottage there is a spacious garden which is accessed through the conservatory and offers a raised lawn as well as a patio seating area with garden furniture and a BBQ, ideal for those days when the sun is shining, and guests want to throw open the conservatory doors to take drinks or meals outside. There is a gravel driveway to the side of the property with space to park one car.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
