Description

Well placed on the edge of the National Park within easy reach of Brecon, you could not be better placed, an absolute haven for fun seekers with access to the Brecon Beacons for walking and cycling and for the little more adventurous, rock climbing, abseiling and canoeing. Other exciting attractions nearby include Dan-yr-Ogof Caves, the National Coal Museum 'Big Pit' and The Brecon Mountain Railway. For a more peaceful day, take in one of the many towns or villages of the National Park, Hay-on-Wye famed for its weekly market and May festival, Crickhowell a small Georgian town nestled within the Usk Valley and Abergavenny a bustling market town with Roman origins considered to be the gateway to Wales and the National Park. For foodies and festival goers there’s an all year-round calendar with something to suit all tastes.

Take a minute to enjoy the views before stepping into the covered porch, the perfect place to leave your well-worn walking boots behind, before stepping into the lounge/diner, an inviting area for all that come and stay, with a warming wood burner, TV and traditional furnishings that further enhance its style. For a simple supper after a day’s exploring, step into the cottage kitchen which is well-equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. When it’s time for bed, climb the cottage style stairs where you will find a double bedroom enjoying views across the countryside and one single bedroom with trundle mattress which can be made into a king-size on request. There is a bathroom with shower over the bath and WC on this floor.

Step outside, and enjoy the open aspect of the gardens with garden furniture and BBQ, perfect to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. There is off-road parking for two cars and bicycle storage available.

Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
