Only a short drive away, the coast of Devon and Cornwall offers many sandy surfing beaches including Westward Ho!, Bude and Croyde. You could try rock-pooling in the quaint sheltered coves of Duckpool or Spekes Mill. There are many attractions within easy reach catering for all ages including The Big Sheep, The Milky Way Adventure Park, Bude Splashpool and the beautiful gardens at RHS Rosemoor. You can visit the unique cliff-side fishing village of Clovelly with its cobbled streets or wander the cliff-tops at rugged Hartland Point. Nearby, Tamar Lakes Country Park offers watersports, coarse fishing and cycling. In the evening you can take a stroll into the traditional Devon village of Bradworthy for a pub meal.
