Description

A characterful old farmhouse steeped in history. This is an ideal location for your group gatherings, with an array of facilities available to make your stay a memorable one.

Located close to the quaint village of Landford, set halfway between the cities of Salisbury and Southampton. You will find a wide range of facilities in the nearby village, from pubs to local convenience stores. Explore further afield where you will find something for everyone from the medieval history of Salisbury to the maritime activities in Southampton, The New Forest National Park is within close proximity to this charming property, where you will find miles of footpaths, bridleways and cycle paths to enjoy.

On entering this impressive house, you are immediately immersed into the character that runs throughout, with its flagstone tiled floors and original exposed timbers. The dining room complete with an Inglenook fireplace, features a large table and benches to provide ample space for the whole group to gather and enjoy a lovely evening meal. Cook up a storm in the traditional, handcrafted solid wood cottage style kitchen with a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge freezer and dishwasher. The utility room with washing machine and separate WC can be found beyond with access out into the patio garden through double doors. The first of the double bedrooms can be located on the ground floor, benefiting a wall mounted TV. A stylish seating area has been created in the hallway leading you to the bunk bedroom which can be found behind the quirky internal doors. Head through into the lounge where there is another Inglenook fireplace with wood burner and TV, this is a great space to chill out of an evening after a full-on day exploring the local area. The games room complete with darts board, pool table, air hockey and table tennis also benefits a gaming area with sofas and gaming console. You can access the rear courtyard from here. An inner hallway behind the games room leads you to the twin bedroom, which also benefits access out onto the courtyard through double patios doors and a double bedroom. A bathroom with bath and WC completes this level. Make your way up the carefully restored three quarter turn staircase, to the first floor where you will find the king-size bedroom with feature fireplace and wall mounted TV and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and WC. The final double bedroom can be found further along the landing with another Inglenook fireplace, en-suite shower room with WC and TV. Head up to the top floor and enter the loft snug, featuring a desk and gaming area with gaming console and wall mounted TV. Head beyond with a restricted ceiling height into the final twin bedroom and separate WC next door.

This farmhouse comes with extensive grounds with a patio area accessed through patio doors from the utility room, and rear courtyard accessible from both the games room and twin bedroom. The  fruit orchard is a feature you won’t miss within the grounds. There is ample parking on the large gravelled driveway.
