Alternatively you can enjoy peaceful walks from the doorstep, or head south and within a mile you are in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which offers lovely old coastal towns of Brixham, Salcombe and Dartmouth where you can sample freshly caught seafood and browse the many independent shops, galleries and cafes river estuaries, surrounded by rolling hills and thatched cottages. Other places of interest and attractions accessible from here include The South Devon Railway, the historic naval city of Plymouth, the cathedral city of Exeter, Pennywell Farm and Haldon Forest.
