There is a network of lake or mountain walking paths from your door as this area is a haven for walking, cycling and water sports, with 2 marinas, again only a short walk from the property, where you can board the launch across to Keswick and around Derwentwater Lake. Keswick has a fabulous indoor climbing centre or why not have a go at Go Ape. The Lingholm Estate is a short walk away and has a fabulous restaurant, some fabulous walks and walled garden.
