Description

This pretty farm building has been converted into a comfortable, modern property in an idyllic and remote location, perfect for a tranquil couples' break.

No matter the time of year, you’ll never be short of things to do when visiting this area of Wales. This property is located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park and offers walking and cycling opportunities direct from the doorstep. You will be 3 miles from the small town of Ystradgynlais where you can visit the remains of Ynyscedwyn Ironworks. Porth-yr-Ogof is 14 miles from the property and is Wales’ largest cave opening where the more active can take part in caving. Take in the stunning Aberdulais Falls, located 8 miles south or visit the rare and wonderful Welsh wildlife at Cwm Clydach RSPB reserve, 10 miles away. Further afield, you can see the beautiful Gower Peninsula with its magnificent sandy beaches, just 20 miles away.

On entering the barn conversion, you will find yourself in the living room. This area is modern and stylishly decorated. There are two comfortable sofas, one of which is a sofa bed. There is also a TV with Sky Plus and a DVD player so you can relax after a busy day exploring. The kitchen has an electric oven, microwave, fridge and small freezer. There is also a dining table and chairs to enjoy a meal together. At the far end of the dining area is a door that leads out into the farmyard. Upstairs is a large king-size bedroom which enjoys stunning views over the farm, forest and further beyond and an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bath.

The property is reached along a farm track and is situated in a fairly isolated position on this cattle and sheep farm. The barn is in a picturesque and enclosed courtyard, which comes complete with garden furniture and BBQ for summer evenings outside. You can also explore the 130 acres of private woodland, which has many waymarked walking routes that run through the countryside and farm. You can also walk a mile to the nearby Palleg Golf Course.
