Description

Set on the cusp of a quintessential rural hamlet, this single-level property is a haven for guests with a love for the outdoors, complete with a private hot tub for relaxing evenings under the stars.

Positioned just 4 miles from Sennybridge and set against a backdrop of open countryside, this impressive detached bungalow is ideal for families and small groups seeking a quiet escape. Stroll along the various trails to reach the community-owned pub in Pentre-Bach, 4 miles away, where you’ll be rewarded with a hearty meal and a selection of excellent cask ales. An 11-mile drive will bring you into the cathedral town of Brecon, a picturesque location studded with independent shops, eateries and amusements such as a vintage-style cinema and a popular theatre. The River Usk and Honddu provide ample opportunities for the keen fishermen, and there are two popular golf courses within 13.5 miles.

Inside, the property is homely and welcoming with comfortable furniture and thoughtful creature comforts including a welcome treat of Welsh cakes and a few essentials such as tea, coffee and sugar. Kick off your boots and unwind in the lounge in front of the TV, enjoying the views through the triple-sliding door. Head through to the spacious and contemporary kitchen, where you’ll be able to prepare delicious meals with ease thanks to the selection of equipment. Gather for delicious dinners and simple suppers in the elegant dining room, which has enough seating for your entire party. At bedtime, the three bedrooms each have their own unique character and are crisply dressed for a restful night’s sleep. Choose from an inviting twin room, a spacious double, or a marvellous king-size complete with a TV/DVD. Next, a generous family bathroom with a bath, separate shower and a WC is a welcome treat for a relaxing soak. If you have muddy clothes, the utility room will prove very handy as it has a washing machine and ample storage space.

Grab your morning coffee and venture outside to admire the views towards the Brecon Beacons. The property backs on to fields with grazing livestock and, on clear days, you’ll be able to spot the resident red kites circling above. Of an evening, the decked patio area is a wonderful place to sip drinks and dip your toes in the private hot tub. There’s ample parking, and also an additional utility room with a WC and drying area, which can only be accessed from the outside. Your four-legged friend will appreciate the vast garden which is mainly set to lawn with mature shrubs.
