More adventurous visitors may like to hike to the summit of Skiddaw and for those who like a tipple, the Lakes Distillery is just a mile away offering a great day out. Keswick is only a short drive away - a tourist hot spot, which provides an array of independent shops, eateries, galleries and parks to enjoy all on the shores of Derwentwater.
This property is steeped in history dating back to when it was built as a Toll House in the late 1820s. You can still see many of the original features and sit in the the booth area. The lounge/diner is a great open space perfect for you to enjoy any time of day with a wood burner set in the heart of the room. With its dual aspect, it can be appreciated sitting in the lounge on one of the two sofas or easy chair, while watching your favourite films on the TV/DVD or in the dining room enjoying a meal at the oak table. Through into the kitchen there is another seating area and plenty of space for all the family to cook up a meal. There is an electric range cooker and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. There is ample garden furniture and a barbeque area making an ideal location to enjoy the evening watching the wildlife. In addition, there is a separate fenced garden area which is ideal for your four-legged friends to enjoy. Secure storage for bikes etc. in the garage and parking for three cars.
