This thriving town boasts market days on Wednesdays and Saturdays when both sides of the high street are home to stalls selling a wide range of goods and produce. Situated equidistant between the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, the opportunities for exploration are endless. These include a day at the races, a family trip to the unique Forbidden Corner at Middleham, a trip to a country house such as Newby Hall, Kiplin Hall and Castle Howard, or a round of golf. The quaint town of Bedale is just 6 miles away, the cobbled streets are lined with independent shops. Take home some delicious local cheeses, explore the unique 12th-century church or take in Yorkshire's finest scenery from the winding Wensleydale railway.
