A converted barn dating back to the 17th century, this is an idyllic and comfortable retreat for a family or a group of friends.
Nestled at the foot of the Howgill Fells, Sedbergh is in the western part of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is also close to the rugged eastern fells of the Lake District. In the town itself, there is a good choice of places to eat from tearooms to traditional pubs. It is 15 miles from Kendal and Hawes which are both great days out.
Enter through the outhouse which provides a place to remove and hang muddy boots and coats. Off the hall is the lounge/diner with a large dining table with seating for up to eight guests. The lounge area is equipped with a Smart TV with Netflix, the perfect space for all guests to sit and relax on the comfortable sofa. From this room, you can access the rear garden with its uninterrupted views of the fells. The kitchen has a small bistro table for that morning coffee and is equipped with an electric oven and gas hob, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Completing the ground floor is the separate WC. Heading up to the first floor there are three bedrooms, the main king-size bedroom is spacious and has beautiful views over the countryside. Then there are two double bedrooms, both with lovely views. Completing the property is the bathroom with a shower over the bath and WC.
The garden has a patio with garden furniture, perfect for an al fresco lunch. The spacious outhouse has a utility space with a washing machine and shower room with WC. From the outhouse, you pass through the front courtyard with its river views and afternoon sun to the front door of the cottage. There is bike storage available and parking for two cars.
