Set deep in the South Shropshire countryside, walkers will be spoiled for choice, at this quaint detached cottage. Enjoy waymarked footpaths, and further afield, the Long Mynd, Mortimer Forest, the Shropshire Way and Offa’s Dyke.
This area is steeped in history; you can explore the ancient towns and villages and visit Ludlow and Stokesay Castles, or if you have time, there are many National Trust houses and gardens to explore. Ludlow and the surrounding South Shropshire countryside is also an ideal cycling area. Often referred to as ‘mini-Switzerland’, the beautiful hilly countryside includes the Shropshire Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that has many quiet country lanes, forest areas and planned routes to suit cyclists of all abilities. There are numerous local events throughout the year that involve food, music, and crafts. This is also an area well known for its excellent restaurants and pubs, many serving locally sourced produce. A visit to the Ludlow Farmshop is a must if you’re venturing out on a picnic, whilst those of you sporting plus fours will be happy to know that some of the most stunning golf courses in the country are nearby, namely Church Stretton and Kington.
