This charming, terraced cottage enjoys a quiet setting just a stroll from Hexham’s Park, attractions and amenities. Perfect base for families or friends looking to explore the whole of Northumberland.
This cottage is located just a few metres from picturesque Sele Park with its wide-open spaces, traditional bandstand, walking trails, children’s playground and a dedicated skateboard park. Stroll through the park to magnificent Hexham Abbey and enjoy a coffee in their garden café. You can also walk to the shops, pubs and restaurants and visit the bi-monthly farmers’ market, all less than 1 mile away. Wander to the play area and golf club next to the river or spend a day at the races. Head to Hadrian’s Wall country and see Vindolanda’s Roman ruins, museum and restaurant, 12.5 miles. Visit The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre (14 miles), or head to Corbridge Roman town for the history, great food and shopping, just 6 miles away. Enter through the front door into the hallway where you can hang outdoor coats and shoes, before heading into the bright and welcoming lounge with two comfortable sofas to unwind on in front of the cosy, gas-fired wood burner while watching The Smart TV or a DVD. One has a double bed with a TV, shaving point and plenty of storage space, the second bedroom has zip-and-link 2’6” twin beds (which can be made up as a king-size bed on request) and this room offers open storage. The family bathroom comprises of a shower over bath, separate shower and WC.Outside at the rear of the property, there is a lovely, patio garden with mature planting and a garden table and chairs where you can sit in the sunshine with your morning coffee. Please note that access to this delightful cottage can be either through the front door or via the rear door which is in turn accessed via a shared pathway passing your neighbours’ gardens. Parking is on-street 20 metres away in a quiet side street (subject to availability); there are additional free parking spaces nearby
