The Margy River, Ballycastle Beach and Fair Head on the horizon (and shadowy Scottish coastline beyond that). I am told that the wooden posts, which are just visible in the river, were placed there in the 1740s as revetments for the diverted river, by the great industrialist Hugh Boyd.
