This delightful barn conversion property enjoys a quiet rural location, within walking distance of the pretty village of Weare Giffard, where visitors will find the welcoming village pub and children’s playground. Also, take a stroll, cycle along the Tarka Trail, or look for traces of the Rolle canal network, with its very old sea locks. Roughly five miles north of the village, the seaside town of Westward Ho! offers a fantastic two-mile wide sandy beach which is ideal for families and is also popular with surfers. Other places of interest within a short drive of the property include Northam Burrows Country Park, the fishing village of Clovelly, and the harbour town of Bideford.
This single-storey converted barn offers comfortable accommodation, with views across the owner’s farm and the river Torridge. At the heart of the property is the open-plan lounge/diner, a light-filled room with folding doors leading out to the decked patio, offering comfortable seating, a dining table, and TV/DVD. The second bedroom is a relaxing twin room, with 2’6” twin beds (which can be made up as king-size on request, prior to arrival). The property’s bathroom has a bath with handheld shower and WC.
Outside, there is an enclosed gravel area and a decked patio to the rear of the property, which is accessed from the lounge/diner. Here, guests will find a BBQ and garden furniture, offering a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Guests are also able to access the neighbouring paddock, but guests should be aware that there is a pond, so children should be supervised at all times. There is ample off-road parking available.
