Set out on foot with your four-legged friend for a stroll along the beach or take to nearby Warkworth, which offers wonderful river walks along the Coquet. Coquet Island itself is well worth a visit as it is home to the ruins of a medieval monastery together with some 35,000 nesting birds in summer and a 600+-strong seal colony.
