Situated on the owners’ 400 acre farm, this attractive cottage nestles on the edge of the Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park and has stunning views down the valley to Crickhowell.
This picturesque area is famed for its relaxed pace and wonderful walks in all directions. The Crickhowell Walking Festival is a highlight of the local calendar every March. This is an excellent area for cycling, mountain biking, horse riding, sailing, fishing, caving and more. Nearby attractions include the Brecon Beacons National Park, Craig-y-Nos Country Park, the Brecon Mountain Railway, South Wales Borderers Museum and The National Showcaves of Wales. Other events include the Hay Festival of Literature and the Brecon Jazz Festival. You can visit some of the many historic houses, gardens and castle, with Tretower Court and Castle less than 3 miles away.
On entering this delightful and spacious traditional property, which retains much original charm and character with original oak beams, exposed stone and wooden flooring, you will find yourself in the bright and welcoming open-plan dining area, a great space to enjoy an evening meal, leading off the dining area you will find the lounge which has been tastefully furnished and completed with TV, DVD and CD. The last of the ground floor rooms is the kitchen, which is fully equipped with oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Going upstairs via the spiral staircase, you will find two comfy bedrooms. There’s a cosy double room and a comfortable twin bedroom. You will also find a bathroom complete with shower over the bath and WC.
Heading outside, you can relax and sit back in the enclosed garden area with seating, and enjoy the lovely views and BBQ.
Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
