Keen walkers can take advantage of numerous footpaths that lead straight from the front door and criss cross the beautiful High Weald AONB passing through local vineyards and surrounding farmland. There are many National Trust and English Heritage properties to explore locally including Batemans, Scotney Castle and Battle Abbey and those wishing to venture slightly further afield, a trip to Bewl Water or Bedgebury makes for a great day out, or alternatively take a trip to the coastal towns of Bexhill, Hastings and Rye.
